On behalf of the staff and children of Year One would like to extend a very warm welcome to our class page.
Welcome to the new school year and your journey into Year One! I was delighted to meet many of you at the 'Meet the Teacher' event and I have been really excited about spending more time with you all!
The Year One Team are excited to be working with you and your children and enjoying our learning together as a community - we are going to have so much fun!
This section of our website will be used to provide a summary of Year One's learning journey. Learning will be predominantly recorded in exercise books which are shared at Parents' Evenings. However, you are warmly welcomed to ask any questions with members of the Year One Team at any point - in fact, it's actively encouraged!

Thursday 25th September - Robins & Year One Phonics Workshop for Parents/Carers
Friday 3rd October - Harvest Festival. All welcome. Live stream will be available
Wednesday 22nd October & Thursday 23rd October - Parents' evening
Friday 24th October - Term 1 finishes
Weekly Check List
Monday- PE - PE kit to be worn to school.
Friday - PE - PE kit to be worn to school.
Friday - ELS Decodable books to be bought into school to be changed.
Please remove earrings at home in the morning before school and ensure that long hair is tied back (or a hair tie is sent in). There has been a large increase in the number of children covering their ears with tape and this should only be done in the first 6 weeks after being pierced. Following this children should be removing earrings for PE.
With PE kits, please not the following changes to uniform requirements:
